Manchester City training photos reveals major injury boost ahead of Nottingham Forest clash

Pep Guardiola and Manchester City have received a notable injury boost ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest.
The treble-winners, who suffered a further injury setback on Tuesday evening, are grappling with a number of first-team injuries, as Bernardo Silva joined the growing list of sidelined players in midweek.
The Portugal international was replaced prior to half-time against Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night, becoming the fifth member of Pep Guardiola’s squad to suffer an injury during the early weeks of the campaign.
Manchester City failed to fill their substitutes bench for the second successive game in midweek; as John Stones, Mateo Kovacic, Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne all missed the 3-1 win over Red Star Belgrade.
A brace from Julian Alvarez and a sublime finish from Rodri completed a second-half turnaround, as Manchester City began their Champions League title defence with a victory, having fallen behind on the brink of the half-time break.
Bernardo Silva’s injury will cause a further selection headache for Guardiola, with Nottingham Forest visiting the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, prior to a Carabao Cup clash against Newcastle at St James’ Park.
Manchester City remain unbeaten in the Premier League, and can stretch their winning start to the season to six matches with a victory over Steve Cooper’s side at the weekend.
Forest were thrashed 6-0 on their last visit to the Etihad Stadium, but have made an impressive start to the new campaign, sitting in 8th place and registering wins over Sheffield United and Chelsea.
Jack Grealish, who has missed Manchester City’s previous two matches against West Ham and Red Star Belgrade, could be in contention to feature at the weekend, providing a welcome boost to Guardiola’s squad.
The 28-year-old was pictured training with the Manchester City first-team on Wednesday, as preparations for the weekend began at the City Football Academy.
Grealish, who withdrew from England international duty due to the injury, has featured in four matches for the Sky Blues so far this season.
