Manchester City signing arrives ahead of official signing while club sanction €20 million sale to European giants

Josko Gvardiol is understood to have finally touched down in Manchester ahead of completing the remaining formalities in order to become a City player.

The Croatia international defender is now expected to undergo his Manchester City medical on Friday, and is set to be in attendance at the FA Community Shield on Sunday, although it remains unknown it what capacity.

Elsewhere, and Thursday brought about yet another confirmed departure from the Etihad Stadium, as club officials finally saw a completed agreement for Carlos Borges, who has joined Ajax in a last minute hijacked deal from the Eredivisie giants.
