The Portugal international is once again weighing up his options this summer, with the Ligue 1 side among three potential options for him away from Manchester City, with one understood to be the cash-stricken FC Barcelona on a loan agreement.

Elsewhere, and it was a significant day concerning the future of Riyad Mahrez, as the Premier League champions braced themselves for an opening offer from Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli, who are understood to be offering the Algerian around £25 million per year.
