Former Manchester City star David Silva has made a luxury wine business his latest venture amongst an ambitious and growing portfolio.

The Spaniard, who spent ten years at Manchester City, winning 13 trophies and making over 430 appearances, continues to play football in La Liga for Real Sociedad.

Silva signed a new one-year contract at the Spanish club in May, after featuring in 37 matches for Real Sociedad during the 2022/23 campaign.

The 37 year-old returned to Manchester during the season to face Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League, with the veteran midfielder having played in 19 matches against rivals United for Manchester City during his career.

Silva was part of Roberto Mancini’s FA Cup winning team in 2011, where Manchester City beat Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley Stadium on route to the Blues’ first FA Cup triumph since 1969.

The World Cup winner has a statue outside the Etihad Stadium alongside Vincent Kompany and Sergio Aguero, after an incredible career in East Manchester.

However, as well as an illustrious footballing career, the 37 year-old has a significant investment portfolio, and has recently added a luxury wine business to the collection.

Football Espana have revealed that Silva has launched a wine business called Tameran, and has sold over 10,000 bottles across Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Silva’s wine has been sold in Michelin star London restaurants, costing a whopping €170 per bottle.

Wine is the 37 year-olds newest venture, as the midfielder also has a further five businesses amongst his growing collection.

Spanish outlet Diario AS report that Silva’s business empire also includes two beach clubs in the Canary Islands, 125 apartments in Gran Canaria, a hotel, an 88-house resort and a golf course.
