Confirmed Line-Ups: Everton vs Manchester City (Premier League)
Manchester City face Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday night as they look to keep the pressure on Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table
Pep Guardiola‘s side enter the game six points adrift of the Gunners and off the back of six successive wins in all competitions, with City’s title charge having gathered momentum since the turn of the year.
Arsenal have won recent home games with Newcastle United and Fulham in the last week to establish a healthy lead at the summit and City need maximum points from their games in hand to pull level on points with Mikel Arteta‘s men.
Rodri remains a doubt after picking up a hamstring issue in the closing stages of the win over Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium in April – as Guardiola confirmed in his pre-match press conference that the Spaniard is being managed carefully in the backdrop of an injury-riddled 18 months.
Ruben Dias is also working his way back from a hamstring problem while Josko Gvardiol continues his recovery from a tibial fracture sustained in January.
John Stones has returned to fitness and featured at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-final win over Southampton. Marc Guehi and Abdukodir Khusanov have formed a dependable partnership at centre-back in recent months.
David Moyes‘ Everton have been well organised in their first season at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and will present a stern test.
City have not lost in the Premier League since February and will be determined to ensure that run continues on Monday night on their debut appearance at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
