Manchester City are set to be in the market for a new winger this summer, as one current star prepares for a positional change next season.

The Sky Blues paraded their haul of trophies around the city centre on Monday, as thousands braved the stormy weather to celebrate Manchester City’s success in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.

Manchester City became Champions League winners for the time on Saturday, beating Inter Milan 1-0 to conclude an historic campaign with a final famous victory to become European champions.

Pep Guardiola’s side, who had already lifted the Premier League title for a third consecutive season, became the first team in over two decades to complete the treble, having won the FA Cup with a 2-1 win over Manchester United prior to victory in Istanbul.

Ilkay Gundogan scored a brace at Wembley Stadium in the FA Cup Final, while Rodri’s 68th minute strike was the match-winning goal against Inter Milan on Saturday evening.

Phil Foden was a first-half replacement for Kevin De Bruyne in Istanbul at the weekend, as the Belgian was forced off with a hamstring injury, following a series of recent fitness issues.

Foden, who has now won 14 trophies with Manchester City, is reportedly set for a positional shift next season, with Jack Gaughan reporting that the 23 year-old will take up a central role for Pep Guardiola next season.

The Englishman made just 29 starts for City this season, though featured both out-wide and in central midfield for the Sky Blues.

Foden’s positional change will also reportedly lead to Manchester City entering the market for a new winger, according to Gaughan, with sporting director Txiki Begiristain searching for wingers ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.

City have previously been linked with Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, however the Georgian, who enjoyed a sensational Serie A campaign, recently penned a new long-term deal with the Italian champions.

Fellow Serie A forward Rafael Leão also recently signed a new contract with AC Milan, quashing talk of a potential move to the Premier League amid interest from a number of clubs.

The developing situation at Paris Saint-Germain regarding Kylian Mbappé could also interest Manchester City, with the Frenchman reportedly set to be sold by the Parisians this summer, after the 24 year-old informed the club that he would not be renewing his contract.

Mbappe has been heavily linked with Real Madrid in the past, however with PSG potentially set to lose the forward for free next year, could City swoop for the French superstar this summer?

PSG themselves are strong favourites to sign Bernardo Silva, as it becomes increasingly likely that the Portuguese midfielder departs the Etihad Stadium during the summer transfer window.
