The 2023 Champions League final against Inter will be broadcast live by Manchester City for supporters in Manchester, a report has revealed.

Pep Guardiola and his players booked their spot in the showpiece Istanbul final on June 10 courtesy of a staggering 5-1 aggregate victory over European giants Real Madrid earlier this month – their second-ever appearance at this stage of the competition.

En route to the final this season, Manchester City have also managed comprehensive victories over Bundesliga duo Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig in the knock-out stage of the tournament, as well as Borussia Dortmund in the group stage.

With City supporters now making travel arrangements for the journey to Istanbul, Turkey in less than two weeks, the Club are now set to announce a live screening event of the match itself back home in Manchester.

That is according to Jack Gaughan of the Mail, who reports this week that Manchester City are set to broadcast the 2023 UEFA Champions League final at Depot Mayfield in the city centre – a venue that has a capacity of 6,000.

The report states that tickets for the event will be made up of Manchester City supporters, guests, and staff, while the newly-crowned treble-chasing Premier League champions are expected to announce details later this week.

Some supporters have been calling for City to broadcast the match at the Etihad Stadium, however the arena is hosting music star The Weeknd on the same night, and concerns over traffic in the area has also ruled out the Academy Stadium.

Before the showpiece final in Turkey later this month, Manchester City also have the second part of their treble hopes to contend with, as they take on bitter rivals Manchester United at Wembley Stadium.

Both teams will be chasing their second trophies of the season, as United look to follow their Carabao Cup triumph with more success, while Pep Guardiola’s side will hope to add to their fifth Premier League title in the last seasons with their name on the FA Cup trophy.
