Manchester City could bank gigantic sum of money with major prize pot for potential treble win unveiled
Manchester City could pocket nearly £300 million by completing the treble next month, as Pep Guardiola’s side bid to win three major pieces of silverware.
The Sky Blues won their third successive Premier League title last weekend, as Arsenal’s defeat to Nottingham Forest secured Manchester City’s fifth title in six years.
City had successfully overturned a significant gap to early leaders Arsenal in the Premier League title race, as a run of 11 consecutive victories helped Pep Guardiola to his fifth title in England.
Manchester City are unbeaten in the league since February and have beaten Arsenal twice, including a momentous 4-1 win at the Etihad Stadium last month.
The Gunners have won just two of their previous eight matches in the league, as City won the Premier League title with three matches to spare.
The Blues are eight points clear of the North London club ahead of the final set of fixtures on Sunday, where City conclude their campaign against Brentford in West London.
Winning the Premier League title has reportedly secured a mammoth £164 million for Manchester City, with the potential for the Champions to pocket nearly £300 million with success in Europe and the FA Cup.
Manchester City face Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League Final on Saturday 10th June, and according to the The Sun, the Blues could bank £117.2 million with victory in Istanbul.
City have beaten both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich on route to the final, as they bid to win the major European competition for the first time.
Pep Guardiola also faces a pivotal clash against rivals Manchester United at Wembley Stadium next week in the FA Cup Final, as part of City’s treble hunt.
City would reportedly earn £3.9 million by lifting the FA Cup on Saturday 3rd June, as well as securing a major victory over a local rival.
Manchester City would become the first team since Manchester United in 1999 to win the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League in the same season.
Winning all three competitions would see City earn £285.1 million in total, a huge sum ahead of the summer transfer window.
