Confirmed Match Officials: Brentford vs Manchester City (Premier League)

John Brooks will take charge of Manchester City’s final game of the Premier League season on Sunday afternoon, it has been announced.

Pep Guardiola’s side conclude their title winning campaign against Brentford in West London, with Sunday’s fixture the Blues’ final match before huge upcoming clashes against Manchester United and Inter Milan.

City, who were on the south coast for a 1-1 draw with Brighton in midweek, are back in the capital next weekend for the Emirates FA Cup Final, as they seek to complete the treble.

The Premier League champions face Brentford on Sunday, with Thomas Frank’s side having sensationally beaten the Blues 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium in November, prior to the World Cup break.

City are unbeaten in their previous 25 matches in all competitions, and won 1-0 at the Brentford Community Stadium last season, courtesy of Phil Foden’s early goal.

Erling Haaland is set to claim the Premier League Golden Boot this weekend, although the Norwegian was unable to score against The Bees at the Etihad Stadium and has netted just one goal in his past six matches.

Ahead of Sunday’s final match of the Premier League season, the Match Officials for this fixture have been announced.

Match Referee

John Brooks will take charge of Manchester City’s visit to Brentford this weekend, the Premier League have confirmed.

The referee has officiated 29 matches this season, showing 110 yellow cards and three red cards.

Brooks last took charge of City earlier this month, when the Sky Blues beat West Ham 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

Assistant Referees

The official will be accompanied in West London by Assistant Referees Ian Hussin and Matthew Wilkes.

Video Assistant Referees

Overviewing proceedings will be Video Assistant Referee Darren Bond and Assistant Video Assistant Referee Darren Cann.

Fourth Official

Jeremy Simpson has been named as the Fourth Official.

The referee will be overseeing conduct within the two dugouts, and the behaviour of managers Thomas Frank and Pep Guardiola.
