Manchester City striker Erling Haaland will not be subject to an investigation from the Football Association following his live TV blunder on Sunday evening.

The 22 year-old gate-crashed a live Sky Sports interview with Jack Grealish after City lifted their third Premier League title in a row, before dropping an expletive towards his teammate in innocent fashion.

A laughing Erling Haaland came rushing up towards Grealish, before loudly exclaiming, “I f****** love you, you know that,” before Sky Sports were forced to apologise to their TV audience for the language used.

Following the mishap, many Manchester United fans on social media have launched a desperate suggestion that the FA should intervene and potentially ban Erling Haaland from the FA Cup Final on June 3.

However, according to Martin Lipton of The Sun, disciplinary chiefs at the Football Association do not believe that any action is required and that there are no plans to investigate Erling Haaland on the matter.

The report details that swearing during media appearances is not something that automatically triggers charges, and that any such sanctions would only follow if the FA felt the circumstances and tone were enough to make action required.

All incidents are considered on a case by case basis, and the latest involving the record-breaking Manchester City forward are understood to have been deemed unworthy of an investigation.

City will be needing their star centre-forward at the very top of this game during the final weeks of the season, as Pep Guardiola and his players go in search of a historic treble with two cup finals now on the horizon.

The Premier League champions take on Manchester United in the first Manchester derby FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on June 3, before a trip to Istanbul awaits just a week later.

Manchester City will travel to Turkey for their second ever Champions League final, as Serie A giants Inter await in the showpiece event, as Pep Guardiola looks to secure the club their first UEFA crown.
