Training Gallery: Man City put together final preparations ahead of Champions League semi-final second-leg vs Real Madrid
Manchester City have put together their final preparations before embarking on a hugely significant Champions League semi-final second-leg clash this week.
Real Madrid are the opponents on Wednesday night as Manchester City welcome the La Liga giants to the Etihad Stadium, with a place in next month’s showpiece Istanbul Champions League final up for grabs.
The semi-final contest remains finely poised heading into the second-half of the tie, following Kevin De Bruyne’s equaliser at the Santiago Bernabeu last week to cancel out a similarly exceptional finish from Vinicius Jr in the first 45 minutes.
City boss Pep Guardiola will unfortunately not have the luxury of having a fully-fit squad for the clash against Real, with Nathan Ake a confirmed absentee due to a muscular problem sustained prior to last week’s first-leg tie in Spain.
A 23-man first-team squad list took part in training on Tuesday afternoon, with the confirmed selection of players spotted during the open session of training below:
