The release date for Manchester City’s 2023/24 home kit in collaboration with PUMA has now been confirmed this week.

Both City and PUMA will be looking to further build on the enormous success of the ongoing season’s strips – which recorded incredible sales figures which many have speculated to be down to both design, and the incoming Erling Haaland last summer.

It is understood that Manchester City recorded a 101% uplift in 2022/23 kit sales when compared to figures from the 2021/22 campaign, whilst selling as many shirts on club channels in two months this season as they did across the whole of the last campaign.

The announcement of Erling Haaland’s Manchester City shirt number in July 2022 also prompted huge spikes in sales in Norway, Sweden and Germany, whilst across the whole of Scandinavia, 51% of sales had been Haaland shirts.

Now, as confirmed by Manchester City accompanied by a promotional video teasing the design of the new kit, the much-anticipated 2023/24 edition of the club’s home strip will be released on Friday 19th May at 8AM (UK time).

The video accompanying the press release uses imagery of the Etihad Stadium, with a focus on Manchester City’s home and it’s architectural design and features. A number of Pep Guardiola’s first-team stars also feature in the teaser.

Ilkay Gundogan’s celebrations following his dramatic winning goal to secure the 2021/22 Premier League title takes centre-stage in the clip, while the passionate support of the Etihad Stadium faithful is also drawn upon alongside imagery of Jack Grealish.
