Confirmed Line-Ups: Manchester City vs Burnley (Premier League)
Manchester City bring the action back to the Etihad Stadium for the first time in over a week as they resume their Premier League schedule.
Pep Guardiola’s side find themselves in a rich vein of form and their hopes of a strong silver-laden campaign have only been boosted since their return to action following the September international break.
Following victories over Manchester United and Napoli, a 1-1 draw away to Arsenal featuring a resilient defensive performance was followed up by progression in the Carabao Cup with a 0-2 away win over Huddersfield Town in the third round.
The clash against Burnley is one of three remaining fixtures before the October international break, with the Clarets clash followed by an away trip to AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League and a hop to London for a meeting with Brentford.
Scott Parker’s side have had a slightly encouraging start to life back in the Premier League, with one win and a draw to their name from their opening five fixtures, sitting just outside of the relegation spots at present.
On the injury front, City will be without all of Abdukodir Khusanov, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, and Omar Marmoush this weekend, while Mateo Kovacic has returned to first-team group training for the first time since Achilles surgery prior to the FIFA Club World Cup.
