Confirmed Line-Ups: Southampton vs Manchester City (Premier League)
Manchester City return to Premier League action in search of another three points as they take on Southampton at St Mary’s this weekend.
City come into the contest in a rich vein of form, beating Liverpool 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium last weekend following the return of club action after the final international break of the season.
Erling Haaland’s absence was arguably not felt at all, as Julian Alvarez, Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Ilkay Gundogan carried the goalscoring burden in the perfect response to Mohamed Salah’s first-half opener.
While City are in need of the points as they chase down Arsenal for the Premier League title, Southampton are in very different circumstances in their fight for survival, sitting rock bottom of the division coming into this weekend’s schedule.
Ahead of kick-off on the south coast, Ruben Selles and Pep Guardiola have confirmed their respective starting line-ups for the 17:30 evening clash!
