Gallery: Behind-the-scenes on Rayan Ait-Nouri’s Manchester City signing day
Rayan Ait-Nouri became Manchester City’s first major signing of the ongoing summer earlier this week as he made the move to the Etihad Stadium from Wolves.
Arriving into Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad for an initial £31 million, the Algerian international becomes the first natural left-sided full-back to be brought into the club since Benjamin Mendy from AS Monaco in 2017.
The arrival of the defender also marked the start of four new faces brought into the squad this summer, with Chelsea’s Marcus Bettinelli, Lyon’s Rayan Cherki, and AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders following in the 48 hours after.
Having left the Algeria national team camp midway through their latest international break, Rayan Ait-Nouri flew to Manchester to undergo various media commitments for the club and finalise documentation to make him a City player.
And on his first day at the City Football Academy facilities, the club’s photographers were on hand to capture the key moments behind-the-scenes that saw Ait-Nouri welcomed in as Manchester City’s first major signing of the summer transfer window of 2025.
Here is a behind-the-scenes look at the 24-year-old’s first day as a Manchester City player!
