Manchester City face RB Leipzig on Tuesday evening looking to progress to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Josko Gvardiol’s second-half header cancelled out Riyad Mahrez’s strike in the first-leg in Germany last month, as RB Leipzig fought back to take a 1-1 draw into Tuesday’s clash at the Etihad Stadium.

RB Leipzig were involved in a thrilling 6-3 defeat when they visited the Etihad Stadium last season in the Group Stages, with Christopher Nkunku scoring a hat-trick for the Bundesliga club.

Pep Guardiola’s side haven’t failed to reach the quarter-finals of the competition since 2017 and have been semi-finalists in each of the past two seasons.

The Blues, who are on an eight match unbeaten run in all competitions, beat Crystal Palace on Saturday evening through Erling Haaland’s penalty in the 78th minute.

The Norwegian has now scored 34 goals for City in all competitions, with five coming in the UEFA Champions League.
