Revealed: Manchester City’s 2025/26 away shirt to utilise never-before-used colour
A brand new colour will be used as the predominant shade for Manchester City’s next away shirt, according to new information.
It follows a series of bold designs issued for Manchester City’s kit ranges over the course of the last few seasons as Puma have largely been a huge hit among supporters since taking over from Nike from the 2019/20 season onwards.
The ongoing campaign has also seen the Premier League champions adopt four kits for the first time in the club’s history, following a collaboration with Noel Gallagher to produce an Oasis-inspired fourth kit worn in European action.
Accompanying that was also a Manchester-inspired home shirt, a 1999 play-off final tribute away kit, and a classy maroon and gold third strip with all three shirts striking a chord among supporters across the globe.
But as behind-the-scenes processes intensify ahead of the new season, a brand new leak of information has emerged pointing towards a never-before-seen colour to be utilised by Puma for one of Manchester City’s 2025/26 shirts.
That is according to exclusive information from Footy Headlines, who have revealed that Manchester City’s brand new and upcoming 2025/26 away kit will feature a main colour ‘volt’ – a shade that has never been used as the main colour for the club’s shirts in the past.

There is no further information on the colour to be used for the new shirt’s accents contained within the same report, while the release date is also said to be July 2025.
The ‘volt’ colour may invoke memories of Manchester City’s 2022/23 Treble winning season, when a similar albeit different bright colour was used for the club’s third kit and brought about a number of big moments for the club at the time.
For now, it remains to be seen whether Manchester City could look to release their new strip in the lead up to the FIFA Club World Cup as a primary opportunity to market the edition to their global base of supporters.
