Manchester City face Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon looking to move within two points of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table.

City, who beat Bristol City to set up an FA Cup quarter-final tie against Vincent Kompany’s Burnley in midweek, return to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday after four consecutive away matches.

Pep Guardiola’s side backed up last weekend’s 4-1 win over Bournemouth with a 3-0 victory against a spirited Bristol City on Tuesday night at Ashton Gate.

The Sky Blues were involved in an enthralling 3-3 draw against Newcastle at St James’ Park in August, although Eddie Howe’s side are winless since mid-January in the league and suffered a 2-0 defeat in the Carabao Cup final last Sunday.

The Magpies are engulfed in the battle for a top four place, with Spurs four points ahead Newcastle but having played two games more. Meanwhile, Liverpool and Fulham are just two points behind Eddie Howe’s side.
