Manchester City will look to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday night, as they travel to face Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

Pep Guardiola’s side continue to compete for three trophies this season, as their FA Cup clash accompanies a Premier League title battle predominantly with Arsenal, and a Champions League last-16 affair against Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.

The latter remains finely poised ahead of a second-leg at the Etihad Stadium, after the two teams ended the first-leg clash in Saxony 1-1 courtesy of goals from Riyad Mahrez for the visitors, and Josko Gvardiol for the hosts.

As for the Premier League, and Manchester City’s 1-4 win over Bournemouth on Saturday evening meant they remain two points behind Mikel Arteta’s squad – who continue to have a game in hand on their competitors.

Ahead of Tuesday night’s FA Cup fifth round tie at Ashton Gate, here is all the latest team news and injury updates from both camps!

Bristol City

The hosts will have two players cup tied for the visit of the Premier League champions, with Anis Mehmeti and Harry Cornick having played for Wycombe Wanderers and Luton Town respectively in previous rounds.

Kal Naismith is ruled out through a calf injury, while Rob Atkinson is ruled out for the rest of the season after the 24-year-old ruptured his ACL. Ayman Benarous also sustained the same injury after returning from a long-term problem, and as such will play no part this season.

Tommy Conway is described as ‘making progress’ after a hamstring tendon injury sustained in the third round of the FA Cup.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference, Bristol City boss Nigel Pearson described Kane Wilson as ‘a bit way from action’ following his return from a knee injury. Despite playing for the U21’s, he has yet to be considered for the first-team match day squad.

Manchester City

Kevin De Bruyne is still suffering from the after-effects of a recent illness, according to manager Pep Guardiola, but the Belgian midfielder is “getting better” and made the substitutes bench during their last game against Bournemouth.

John Stones trained with the Manchester City first-team on Monday ahead of the FA Cup fifth round tie, after recovering from a muscular problem sustained during the 1-0 win over Arsenal in the last round.

Aymeric Laporte has also been suffering from illness, and the latest on the Spain international remains unknown ahead of the clash at Ashton Gate.

Stefan Ortega Moreno will start in goal for Manchester City on Tuesday night, as confirmed by Pep Guardiola during his pre-match press conference, while Maximo Perrone will only make the substitutes bench despite a promising cameo last time out.
