Confirmed Line-Ups: Leyton Orient vs Manchester City (FA Cup fourth round)
Manchester City take on Leyton Orient in the early kick-off on Saturday as they look to move on into the fourth round of this season’s FA Cup.
It is an opportunity to put a smile back on the faces of Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad after they succumbed to a hugely disappointing 5-1 defeat at the hands of Arsenal last weekend, further complicating their chances of securing a top-four place in the Premier League.
The match-up against the League One high-flyers also precedes a mammoth clash in the UEFA Champions League as Real Madrid visit the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night in the first-leg of a last-16 play-off meeting between the two clubs.
As for this weekend’s opponents in Leyton Orient, they find themselves in a chase for Championship promotion lying sixth place after 28 matches played in the League One standings at the halfway point of the season.
City will be boosted by the return of Ederson, Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake, and Jeremy Doku at a crucial stage of their competitive season, with all four players returning to training throughout the week leaving just Rodri as the only player currently sidelined.
Ahead of kick-off at the Gaughan Group Stadium, here is how both Richie Wellens and Pep Guardiola have lined up their respective Leyton Orient and Manchester City sides in FA Cup action!
