Confirmed Line-Ups: Arsenal vs Manchester City (Premier League)
Arsenal and Manchester City meet in their reverse fixture this season following a thrilling 2-2 draw played out at the Etihad Stadium last September.
City have found some level of consistency in their performances and form since Boxing Day despite a 4-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in UEFA Champions League action, seeing their pursuit of the Premier League’s top-four strengthen.
Last time out was a crucial comeback victory in the Premier League as City defeated Chelsea 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium, before going on to defeat Club Brugge in midweek via the same scoreline and match pattern to secure a play-off place against Real Madrid for the last-16.
A rare midweek break for Manchester City will follow this weekend’s game with the club out of the Carabao Cup, and as such their next outing preceding a clash with Real Madrid at the Etihad Stadium will be a trip to Leyton Orient in the FA Cup fourth round.
As for Arsenal and their recent form, the Gunners are unbeaten since a narrow penalty shoot-out loss in the FA Cup against Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium earlier this month, and wrapped up third position in the Champions League table on Wednesday night.
City are not set to see any positivity in their fitness and injury situation, with Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake, Rodri, and Jeremy Doku all remaining sidelined, while patience is the order for Oscar Bobb at present as he continues to feature in training after a five-month lay-off.
Ahead of kick-off at the Emirates Stadium, here is how both Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola have lined up their respective Arsenal and Manchester City sides in Premier League action!
