“You have to win these games!” – Jack Grealish emphasises impact of Manchester City win over Arsenal

Manchester City forward Jack Grealish has outlined the importance of Wednesday’s win over Arsenal, as the Blues moved to the top of the Premier League table.
City moved above Arsenal in the race for the Premier League title on goal difference after second half goals from Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland sealed a vital victory in North London.
Bukayo Saka cancelled out Kevin De Bruyne’s skilful opening goal from the penalty spot during a frantic first half at the Emirates Stadium.
City regained the lead in the 72nd minute as Grealish finished off a smart City move to punish Arsenal for another defensive mistake.
Pep Guardiola’s side ensured a huge victory 10 minutes later, as Erling Haaland scored his 32nd goal of the campaign to move City to the top of the Premier League table.
Grealish, who also scored at Old Trafford last month, revealed the magnitude of the victory post-match, though admitted that he didn’t think the Blues ‘played that well’ in the capital.
“We had to win today and luckily we did. Honestly we didn’t play that well, I think Arsenal played better than us and were the better team, and I think they had more possession. They had a few chances and stuff.
“To win titles you have to come to stadiums like this and even when you’re not at your best you have to win these games.”
City had only 46% possession though restricted Arsenal to just two attempts on target.
The England international’s goal came after some smart build-up play, as Ilkay Gundogan perfectly teed-up the 27 year-old.
Reflecting on his goal, Grealish said: “I was due one of them, a deflection to help it go in. It feels so long. The longer you go without a goal, the more you do.
“I stayed out yesterday after training with Enzo [Maresca] and we did some finishes and stuff. As soon as I scored I went over to him.
“When I was celebrating I was going to take my top off but I was on a yellow card already!”
