Ball numbers, how to watch live, fixture dates, potential opponents – FA Cup third round draw details
Manchester City will find out their opponents for a brand new competition to the 2024/25 fixture list on Monday evening.
Pep Guardiola and his players pride themselves on competing for all available honours, and the arrival of the FA Cup will make up for the exit in the Carabao Cup fourth round at the hands of Tottenham in October.
Manchester City have won the FA Cup on two previous occasions under Pep Guardiola, doing so in the 2018/19 campaign and defeating Watford in the final, whilst adding the trophy to a historic Treble in 2022/23 and beating local rivals Manchester United at Wembley.
City made it all the way to the final once again during the last campaign, having beaten Huddersfield Town at home, Tottenham Hotspur and Luton Town away, Newcastle United at home in the quarter-finals, and Chelsea in the semi-finals.
However, the showpiece final against Manchester United in a repeat of the 2022/23 edition saw Erik ten Hag and his players come out on top despite a late goal from Jeremy Doku to add pressure to first-half strikes from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.
Now, following the conclusion of the second round matches across the course of the weekend in the FA Cup, here is everything you need to know ahead of the third round draw of this season’s competition!
