Revealed: The 16 international fixtures that could involve Manchester City players in November
Manchester City’s injury-stricken squad now faces the challenge of recovering and remaining fit during the final international break of the calendar year.
Pep Guardiola and his players enter the final pause for national team duties on an unprecedented run of four successive matches without a draw or a win – the first time the club has lost a quartet of fixtures in succession since 2006.
The losing run comes at a time when Manchester City are also battling a growing list of fitness and injury problems, with Oscar Bobb and Rodri’s long-term issues added to by Jack Grealish, Ruben Dias, John Stones, and Jeremy Doku in particular.
The likes of Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji, and Kyle Walker are also remaining as part of the club’s matchday squads despite significant concerns over their readiness for competitive action, as explained by Pep Guardiola in recent press conferences.
As such, it will be imperative for Pep Guardiola and City that his first-team squad emerges from the final international break of 2024 without any further problems, and those who are struggling work towards a full recovery for a hectic run of fixtures in the coming weeks.
With Manchester City not in action until they host Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 23 November, here is the complete list of players involved for their respective national teams over the course of the next two weeks!

Not Selected
For England’s squads, John Stones misses out through injury, whilst returning defender Josh Wilson-Esbrand has not been selected at youth level having only recently returned to full fitness for Manchester City.
Injury has also prevented Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias from being considered for action by the Netherlands and Portugal respectively, whilst Rodri and Oscar Bobb‘s longer-term absences will keep them out of duty for Spain and Norway.
Despite being originally selected for action earlier this month, Manuel Akanji and Matheus Nunes became the first names to withdraw from duties with Switzerland and Portugal respectively due to injury.
A double withdrawal would also be seen from within the England camp, as Jack Grealish and Phil Foden both exited Lee Carsley’s squad roster on Monday evening due to their own respective fitness concerns.
Jeremy Doku would also join Kevin De Bruyne in not featuring for Belgium this month, with the latter having ruled himself out of duties back in October prior to that month’s international break with a view towards focussing on his own health and fitness.
Scott Carson and Ilkay Gundogan have both retired from international football.
