Manchester City confirm updated 2022/23 Premier League squad following Joao Cancelo exit
The Premier League have confirmed Manchester City’s squad list for the remainder of the 2022/23 season, following the conclusion of the January transfer window.
While Pep Guardiola’s side saw little change during the most recent transfer market, the exit of Joao Cancelo to Bayern Munich on an initial six-month loan deal sees a significant alteration to City’s defensive options.
Elsewhere, Manchester City did confirm the acquisition of Argentina under-20 midfielder Maximo Perrone from Velez Sarsfield, with the player viewed as an exciting talent for the future by those within the football club.
The second-half of the season is especially important for Pep Guardiola and his players, as they look to once again retain their Premier League crown, but face a stern challenge from Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal – who currently sit five points clear at the top of the division.
Ahead of the return of English top-flight football following transfer deadline day, the Premier League have confirmed Manchester City’s updated squad list.
