Manchester City return to UEFA Champions League action on Wednesday night as they take on Sparta Prague at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola and his players have retained their position as the only remaining unbeaten side in the Premier League following yet another victory at the weekend, this time in dramatic fashion via a John Stones winning goal against Wolves at Molineux.

Having gone behind in the contest, a stunning equaliser from Josko Gvardiol in the first-half saw Manchester City restricted by a ten-man Wolves defence, only for Stones to break that resolve from a corner in the 95th minute.

As for their opponents in Sparta Prague on Wednesday night, the Czech Republic-based side find themselves in strong form after the opening 11 games of their domestic season, sitting in second-place after eight wins, one draw, and two defeats.

City have welcomed back both Nathan Ake and Kevin De Bruyne to training, although the latter will play no part in Wednesday night’s clash. Kyle Walker is also ruled out through a knee injury, whilst Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku missed Tuesday’s training session.

Ahead of the confirmed team news from the Etihad Stadium tonight, some initial information has began to filter throughout social media from journalists and sources regarding Manchester City’s starting line-up.

According to the information of the Manchester Evening News’ Joe Bray, relaying confirmation from UEFA, 19-year-old Nico O’Reilly has been included on City’s senior squad list for the visit of Sparta Prague following his absence from the under-19s’ Youth League clash earlier today.

Pep Guardiola and Lars Friis are expected to confirmed their respective Manchester City and Sparta Prague starting line-ups around 18:45 (UK) on Wednesday night.

Now confirmed.
