Match Coverage
The latest on Kevin De Bruyne, Pablo Sarabia, and Mario Lemina ahead of Manchester City vs Wolves (Premier League)
Manchester City will look to continue their pursuit of Arsenal this weekend as they host Wolves in their next Premier League outing.
City will be looking to build on their second-half performance shown against Tottenham on Thursday day, as a Riyad Mahrez brace and goals from Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez rescued the Blues from a 0-2 half-time deficit to win 4-2 at the Etihad Stadium.
Wolves on the other hand are in a difficult vein of form, and come into this one off the back of a difficult night against Liverpool in the FA Cup, as a 0-1 defeat in the third round replay saw them crash out of the competition.
Ahead of kick-off at the Etihad Stadium, both Pep Guardiola and Julen Lopetegui have provided updates on the fitness of their respective playing squads.
Manchester City
In a rare sight for both fans and players, Pep Guardiola could have a full strength side available for the visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend.
Kevin De Bruyne, Ruben Dias, and John Stones were all named in the Manchester City matchday squad against Tottenham in midweek following their respective injury problems, while the latter started the match.
Dias featured as a late second-half substitute and will be looking to build match fitness ahead of a hectic run of fixtures, while De Bruyne was an unused substitute and will no doubt be raring to go again.
Wolves
Spain international forward Pablo Sarabia will be available for his Wolves debut against Manchester City this weekend, following a reported €5 million move from Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Midfielder Mario Lemina is back in contention for the Molineux club after being ineligible for the midweek FA Cup defeat by Liverpool.
However, a quartet of names will remain sidelined for the trip to the Etihad Stadium, with all of Pedro Neto, Chiquinho, Sasa Kalajdzic and Boubacar Traore all unavailable for Julen Lopetegui’s matchday squad.
