Manchester City forward undergoing medical ahead of prospective €10 million exit
Manchester City winger Joel Ndala is undergoing a medical ahead of a move to PSV Eindhoven on an initial season-long loan.
Ndala, who has been at the City Football Academy since 2017, was part of Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad for the recent four-match pre-season tour of the United States, as Manchester City played friendlies against Celtic, AC Milan, FC Barcelona and Chelsea.
The teenager featured 23 times for Manchester City youth teams last season, but has never made a competitive first-team appearance, playing across the Premier League 2, UEFA Youth League and EFL trophy during the 2023/24 campaign.
The 18-year-old has four years remaining on his current contract at the Etihad Stadium but is undergoing a medical ahead of a transfer to PSV Eindhoven, with the Dutch transfer window remaining open until Tuesday 2 September.
David Ornstein reports that Ndala is doing a medical with PSV ahead of an initial season-long loan from Manchester City, with a conditional buy-obligation of an initial €7 million included, should a specific criteria be met.
The transfer fee for the teenager could reportedly further rise to €10 million, with the agreement also including a buy-back and ‘significant’ sell-on clause for the Premier League champions.
Ndala is set to become Manchester City’s final academy sale of the summer, with the City Football Academy having once again boosted the Blues’ overall funds, as well as agreeing a series of loan deals.
Liam Delap and Taylor Harwood-Bellis have both completed multi-million moves to Premier League clubs, meanwhile the likes of Alex Robertson and Micah Hamilton have signed for Cardiff City and Middlesbrough in the Sky Bet Championship.
Delap started against Manchester City for Ipswich Town last month, meanwhile Harwood-Bellis could feature against his boyhood club in October, when Southampton visit the Etihad Stadium.
