Manchester City have been been busy throughout the summer transfer window once again, with the possibility of further business to take place on Deadline Day.

The final hours of the summer market are likely to be dominated by outgoings from the club’s rising Academy talents, although Manchester City could still add a forward to Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad before the close of the transfer window.

The sale of Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid for a club-record €95 million has left a possible hole within Manchester City’s squad, with the Argentinian having featured 54 times for the Sky Blues last season, scoring 19 goals and registering 13 assists.

Manchester City have made two additions to Guardiola’s squad this summer however, with Savinho signing from City Football Group side ES Troyes, and former club captain Ilkay Gundogan re-signing from FC Barcelona on a free transfer.

Julian Alvarez hasn’t been the only first-team departure this summer, with Sergio Gomez also moving to La Liga, as well as Joao Cancelo completing a permanent move to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.

Matheus Nunes’ future is still subject to some speculation amid interest from Atletico Madrid in a possible loan deal, meanwhile City Football Academy trio Josh Wilson-Esbrand, Joel Ndala and Jadel Katongo could all complete temporary exits away from east Manchester.

City Xtra are here to keep you up to date with all of the latest transfer news and developments on Deadline Day, with the summer window set to shut at 11 PM [UK] on Friday night.
