Confirmed Line-Ups: Chelsea vs Manchester City (Premier League)
Chelsea and Manchester City have both confirmed their line-ups for Sunday’s Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge.
Pep Guardiola’s side begin their latest Premier League title defence in west London this weekend, as Manchester City bid to win an unprecedented fifth consecutive Premier League during the 2024/25 campaign.
Manchester City lifted the Premier League title for the sixth time in seven years in May, and face the prospect of the upcoming season being Guardiola’s last at the Etihad Stadium, with the 53-year-old out of contract in 2025.
The Blues’ Premier League campaign will start and end in west London, with Manchester City facing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, and concluding their campaign against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Chelsea appointed former Manchester City assistant coach Enzo Maresca as manager during the summer, and suffered a 4-2 loss to Manchester City during a pre-season friendly in Ohio earlier this month, courtesy of Erling Haaland’s hat-trick.
Oscar Bobb was also on the scoresheet during the friendly clash in the United States, however the 21-year-old is set to miss the opening months of the season after suffering a devastating leg fracture in training.
Sunday’s clash could provide a Premier League debut to summer signing Savinho, who featured as a substitute against Manchester United in the FA Community Shield last weekend at Wembley Stadium.
