Manchester City target staggering shirt sales record following 2024/25 home shirt release
Officials within Manchester City and those in relevant positions at manufacturers Puma are hoping to record remarkable numbers on the brand new 2024/25 home shirt.
The global brand of Manchester City has gone from strength to strength under Pep Guardiola during his eight seasons at the Etihad Stadium thus far, with their remarkable successes heavily contributing to their growth.
The club’s development as a global powerhouse in the football scene has been touched upon on various occasions by their manager, and most recently during their four-game pre-season tour of the United States.
Guardiola was keen to point out during a press conference that in comparison to his first pre-season tour Stateside in 2017, the presence of City shirts was much stronger in stadiums, and in large parts, more dominant that those of their opponents including Barcelona and Chelsea.
And that trend is unlikely to change any time soon, with new data emerging in light of the club’s recent home kit launch demonstrating the popularity of the club’s releases across the globe.
According to the information of Manchester City insider ‘Tolmie’s Hairdoo’ on X, the reigning Premier League champions are currently on course to break their initial sales record following the recent official release of their brand new 2024/25 home shirt.
It is revealed that Manchester City hold an internal club hope to sell nearly 700,000 shirts across the globe in the next two financial quarters up until Christmas alone, in a staggering reflection on the organisation’s vast global reach.
Manchester City’s brand new 2024/25 home shirt is understood to draw inspiration from the Greater Manchester region’s iconic 0161 dialling code, which is printed inside the neckline of the shirt, and featured in a patterned neckline and cuffs.
As is the case following their renewed contractual agreement, the club’s cryptocurrency sponsor OKX features on the left sleeve of the new shirt, accompanied by the club’s iconic crest and PUMA logo on the chest.
Manchester City’s new shirt has already debuted on numerous occasions across the pre-season tour of the United States, but more importantly won its first piece of silverware, as Pep Guardiola’s players came out on top in the FA Community Shield against Manchester United.
