Manchester City have agreed a multi-million fee with Middlesbrough for Academy graduate Micah Hamilton, according to new information.

The two clubs first entered talks for the highly-rated forward on Monday morning, with the Championship side keen to recruit in their wide roles ahead of a pursuit of Premier League football for the 2025/26 season.

As for Micah Hamilton, the versatile Manchester-born forward is fresh off the back of an impressive pre-season camp with Pep Guardiola’s side in the United States, featuring on numerous occasions and recording an assists for James McAtee in New York City.

With the likes of Oscar Bobb and Savinho competing for the mainstay role on the right of Pep Guardiola’s front-three this season, as well as Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish on the left, it may be the case that Hamilton feels as though his pathway at the Etihad is currently blocked.

As such, both the player and Manchester City are closing in on an agreement that will likely see the player compete continuously on the field in England’s second-tier of football, whilst retaining the possibility of bringing him back to the club in future.

According to the information of transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano, Championship side Middlesbrough have now agreed deal with Manchester City for attacking talent Micah Hamilton in the region of £3.5 million.

Such is the high-regard in which the 20-year-old is held at the Etihad Stadium that it is further highlighted that the Premier League champions will include a buy back clause in the agreement, which Romano reveals to be worth around £11 million.

It is stated that a move for Hamilton is now hinging on a matter of ‘final details’ being sorted before a total agreement will be signed between the two clubs and the player at the Riverside Stadium.

Micah Hamilton is expected to be one of several Manchester City youth talents to work their way out of the club this summer, either on a permanent or temporary agreement, in search of regular senior men’s football.

Mahamadou Susoho is widely expected to make a leap into the Football League by joining Peterborough United for the 2024/25 season on loan from the Premier League champions, whilst there are expected to be conversations over Jacob Wright’s future soon.

Elsewhere, Alex Robertson is set to complete a permanent exit from Manchester City in a deal reaching £3 million, with his move to Cardiff City ending a long-standing association with the Etihad Stadium club over the last seven years.
