Confirmed Line-Ups: Manchester City vs AC Milan (Pre-Season Friendly)
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side return to pre-season action on Saturday night as they take on AC Milan for the first time in 10 years across any fixture or occasion.
Both City and the Italian side meet in New York ahead of a clash at the iconic Yankee Stadium towards the north of the city, following on from a number of high-profile brand and publicity activations throughout the Premier League champions’ time in the Big Apple this week.
Manchester City’s matchday two of their summer United States pre-season tour follows on from an opening game defeat at the hands of Celtic, falling narrowly to a thrilling 3-4 scoreline against the Scottish Premier League champions in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Despite the outcome of the game, Oscar Bobb certainly earned rave reviews for his contributions in front of goal, getting City on level terms in the first-half and turning provider for Maximo Perrone and Erling Haaland’s second-half strikes.
The meeting with AC Milan also presents Pep Guardiola with an opportunity to hand first pre-season minutes to their latest arrivals to the squad, with Croatian duo Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol meeting up with their teammates in New York earlier this week.
