Manchester City take on Southampton in the Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals tonight, with a place in the final four of the competition up for grabs.

Pep Guardiola’s side come into the clash full of confidence, after securing back-to-back victories over Graham Potter’s Chelsea in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge, and then in the FA Cup third round at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

City, who won the Carabao Cup in four consecutive seasons under Pep Guardiola, will be looking to take back the trophy after knocking out holders Liverpool in a 3-2 thriller at home in the fourth round.

That result came after a 2-0 third round win over Chelsea last October, in a clash that saw Riyad Mahrez and Julian Alvarez shine across the 90 minutes and get their names on the scoresheet.

Southampton got a much needed boost at the weekend, after a largely poor start under new manager Nathan Jones, as they progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup via a 1-2 away win against Crystal Palace.

Ahead of kick-off at St Mary’s tonight, the two managers have now confirmed their respective starting line-ups.
