Clarity around the future of Manchester City’s number one goalkeeper Ederson may not be too far away, with news of an official approach to the player this summer.

We start our summary of events on the arrivals front, with plenty of today’s stories revolving around the central defensive role, as clarity was offered on the future of Jarrad Branthwaite, while another name sent a clear message of intent to Manchester City.

On the subject of departures, Ederson can now be expected to make a decision on his own club future after news emerged on Wednesday of an eye-watering contractual offer made to the 30-year-old by Saudi Arabian giants Al-Nassr.
