Fixtures, Draws, Transfer Windows – Key Premier League and UEFA Champions League 2024/25 dates

Following the conclusion of the 2023/24 season both the Premier League and UEFA have announced the key dates for the 2024/25 campaign.

Manchester City will bid to win a fifth successive Premier League title next season, after clinching a record-breaking fourth consecutive title earlier this month, beating Arsenal to the trophy by two points with a win over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium on the final day.

The Sky Blues will also look to reclaim their UEFA Champions League crown in the newly-expanded version of the competition, alongside also competing in the 32-team FIFA Club World Cup in the summer of 2025.

Pep Guardiola’s side will face significantly more fixtures next year, and despite the 2023/24 season only recently coming to a conclusion, both the Premier League and UEFA have announced key dates for the next campaign.

Premier League fixtures will be published next month, although the Sky Blues will begin their domestic campaign with an FA Community Shield clash against Manchester United in August, following the 1-2 defeat to Erik ten Hag’s side in the FA Cup Final.

The Champions League Final will be held at the Allianz Arena in Germany in May 2025, although the ‘league phase’ of the competition will stretch between September and January.

The 2024/25 Premier League season will begin on the weekend of the 17th/18th of August 2024, with the campaign consisting of 33 weekends, four midweek rounds and one Bank Holiday.

The UEFA Champions League will consist of a wider league phase next season, with clubs playing a total of eight matches against eight different opponents between September 2024 and January 2025.

The draw for this phase of the competition will take place on Thursday 29th August 2024.
