The Premier League have revealed what will happen to the unused title celebration equipment that was sent to the Emirates Stadium last weekend.

Arsenal suffered defeat in the race for the Premier League title on Sunday, as Manchester City clinched a record-breaking fourth consecutive title, and beat Mikel Arteta’s side to the trophy for a second successive season.

Pep Guardiola’s side surpassed the 90-point mark and finished two points ahead of the north London club, as a 3-1 win over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium secured a sixth Premier League title in seven years for the Sky Blues.

Manchester City will parade their record-breaking achievement around the city centre on Sunday alongside the the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup, irrespective of the outcome of Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup Final against Manchester United at Wembley Stadium.

The Blues also celebrated their achievement on Sunday evening, with a major display with supporters post-match at the Etihad Stadium, prior to a party for first-team players and staff at luxury restaurant FENIX.

Guardiola’s side secured 28 wins, seven draws and three defeats in the Premier League this season, and are unbeaten across all competitions in their past 35 matches – a streak stretching back to December 2023.

Amid joyous scenes in east Manchester, replica trophies, sets of medals, podiums and trophy arches went unused at the Emirates Stadium, with footage on social media having previously shown rehearsals take place at Arsenal in the event of the Gunners winning the title.

The Premier League have announced that the trophy arch, which read ‘Champions 2023/24’ with the Arsenal crest will now be recycled, meanwhile Manchester City’s will be repurposed, according to Football London.

Arsenal went unbeaten against Manchester City during the 2023/24 campaign, winning the FA Community Shield against the Sky Blues, as well as victory at the Emirates in October and drawing 0-0 at the Etihad Stadium in March.
