Inside Manchester City’s full-time dressing room celebrations after Premier League title triumph

| Last Updated:

Manchester City’s players and staff celebrated Sunday’s historic Premier League title win with jubilant post-match scenes in the Etihad Stadium dressing room.

Pep Guardiola’s side secured an historic fourth successive Premier League title with a 3-1 win over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon, clinching a sixth title in seven years ahead of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Phil Foden’s first-half brace and a second-half strike from Rodri secured an eighth Premier League title for the Blues, despite Mohammed Kudus’ late first-half effort causing some temporary concern in east Manchester.

The victory, which was Manchester City’s 28th of the campaign in the Premier League, allowed the Cityzens to beat Arsenal to the title for a second successive season, winning the league ahead of the Gunners by two points, and once again surpassing the 90-point mark.

The Premier League trophy was the Sky Blues’ third of the season, and Manchester City could add a fourth trophy next weekend, when they travel to Wembley Stadium to face Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup Final.

Manchester City can become the first club to ever win back-to-back Premier League and FA Cup trophies, with the Blues having beaten Erik ten Hag’s side 2-1 in the FA Cup Final last season, after Ilkay Gundogan’s memorable brace.

Guardiola has won 17 major trophies since moving to the Etihad Stadium in 2016, and the Catalan’s squad are unbeaten in their last 35 matches across all competitions – a streak stretching back to December.

Manchester City players and staff celebrated their historic achievement at an event on Sunday night, and will parade the Premier League title, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World throughout the city centre next weekend, irrespective of the result of the FA Cup Final.
