Confirmed Match Officials: Leeds United vs Manchester City (Premier League)

Stuart Attwell will take charge of Manchester City’s trip to Elland Road to face Leeds United on Wednesday, the Premier League have announced.
Manchester City return to Premier League action for the first time since a shock 2-1 home defeat to Brentford in November, as an Ivan Toney brace allowed Arsenal to open up a five point gap at the top of the table.
Pep Guardiola’s side reached the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup on Thursday evening, beating holders Liverpool in a thrilling 3-2 win at the Etihad Stadium.
As a result, City will travel to St Mary’s to face Southampton in January, either side of matches against Chelsea and Manchester United.
The Sky Blues have two league fixtures before the end of the year, starting with a trip to Elland Road on Wednesday evening.
Leeds have lost their two matches against City by an aggregate score of 11-0 and find themselves in 15th place in the table.
Ahead of Wednesday’s trip over the pennines, the Premier League have announced the match officials for the fixture.
Match Referee
Stuart Attwell will take charge of proceedings at Elland Road in midweek.
The 40 year-old referee has officiated 11 matches so far this season, showing 43 yellow cards and two red cards.
Attwell last took charge of the Blues in May, when City thrashed Newcastle 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
Assistant Referees
Attwell will be accompanied by Assistant Referees Harry Lennard and Darren Cann on Wednesday.
Video Assistant Referees
Overviewing proceedings from Stockley Park will be Video Assistant Referee Jarred Gillett and Assistant Video Assistant Referee Marc Perry.
Fourth Official
Michael Salisbury has been appointed as the Fourth Official.
The referee will be overseeing conduct within the two dugouts, and the behaviour of managers Jesse Marsch and Pep Guardiola.
