Manchester City will discover their opponents for the quarter-finals of the Emirates FA Cup in midweek, as plans for the next stage of the competition have been confirmed.

Pep Guardiola’s side travelleed to Kenilworth Road in the Emirates FA Cup for the first time since 1969 in midweek, with City looking to continue their treble defence with a victory over Luton on Tuesday night in the fifth round.

Manchester City, who came from behind to beat Luton in the Premier League in December, are now unbeaten in their previous 18 matches across all competitions thanks to an enthrawling 2-6 victory over the Hatters including a five-goal haul from Erling Haaland.

The Norwegian’s outstanding efforts in front of goal were accompanied by Kevin De Bruyne and his usual levels of midfield brilliance, with the Manchester City playmaker accumulating four assists, and all for Haaland.

Mateo Kovacic would score Manchester City’s sixth and become the only goalscorer not named ‘Erling Haaland’ to notch for Pep Guardiola’s side at Kenilworth Road, converting a sensational effort from distance, leaving Tim Krul without a chance.
