Confirmed Match Officials: Luton Town vs Manchester City (FA Cup Fifth Round)
Anthony Taylor will take charge of Manchester City’s trip to Luton Town in the Emirates FA Cup on Tuesday evening.
Manchester City continue their treble defence in midweek with a trip to Kenilworth Road, as Pep Guardiola’s side face Luton Town in the fifth round of the FA Cup and look to secure their place in the quarter-final stages of the competition.
The Sky Blues face Luton in the FA Cup for the first time since 1969, but were victorious in the Premier League against Rob Edwards’ side in December, winning 1-2 after second-half goals from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish.
City, who also beat Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday evening, are currently unbeaten in their previous 17 matches across all competitions and have beaten both Huddersfield Town and Tottenham to reach the fifth round.
Luton haven’t won a game since January and remain in the relegation zone, but have beaten both Bolton and Everton by a 2-1 scoreline to progress to the fifth round of this season’s FA Cup.
The home side have suffered successive defeats against both Manchester United and Liverpool ahead of the visit of Manchester City, although the Hatters haven’t played since Wednesday’s defeat at Anfield.
Ahead of the fifth round Emirates FA Cup clash between Luton and Manchester City, the Football Association have announced the Match Officials for the tie.
